I have a Frugal install on a CompactFlash set up as a hard drive and I have a mirror of that same CF on a removable USB reader.My problem is that now when I try to boot my CF when it searches for the knoppix image at the beginning it searches the USB first and finds the image on that drive.. how can I force DSL to ignore the USB drive when looking for the image or to check the HD first? I am not positive this will work since I haven't ever used your configuration but if you are getting the boot prompt you would type 'dsl fromhd=/dev/hda1' or whatever partition you want to boot from. Good luck Chris Posted by Gregus on Feb. 28 2005,19:59
