Hi,

I've been trying to create a livecd with dsl, geexbox, insert, rip, debian netinstall and all my fav deb packages.

I mount every of these distro's and copy everything in. But of course the isolinux and boot dirs overwrite each other sometimes.. I understand I have to merge the isolinux.cfg's from every distro to 1 cfg. But I don't really know where to start. (I also tried downloading the 700mb multidistro and editing it but i got a corrupted image twice and I have no bandwith left; And I tried editing the UBCD+ insert cd, adding dsl and geexbox, then editing the cdshell.ini which looked easier then isolinux.cfg ).
I see the livecd's use different directories for the isolinux.bin and co. In what directory should I put the isolinux.bin and merged cfg? (isolinux/ ?)

I don't really ask a good specific question, I just don't know where to start to make a multiboot livecd even after reading and searching information for it. But every source seems to say another thing, etc :s

Well, let me ask this: how do I make a dsl livecd with insert added to it?

grtz,
confused guni ;)

Hi gunnix,

what exactly is the failure or error code you get?
At first, you have to decide, how to set up your multiboot CD.
You might want to use isolinux, but there are other ways (but I forgot how they work).
Isolinux uses ElToritos "No Emulation Booting". AFAIK NEB limits the size of the bootcode to 640k.

Then, you need to have the images...
To help you get started, the ISOLINUX documentation is quite good...

regards
jan
