i have tried to format my usb stick in linux using "cfdisk /dev/sda1" but it tells me that the partition is wrong and that it starts at the ent of the disk

when i tried sfdisk it says "warning start=32 - this looks like a partition rater than the entire disk. using fdisk on it is probably meaningless."

any help? :)

/dev/sda1 is "a partition rather than the entire disk".  Try '/dev/sda' instead.

i tried that with cfdisk
/dev/sda came up with the same error message

its starting to give me a headache   :(

Perhaps your usb stick does not have a partition table.

You should be able use fdisk (not cfdisk or sfdisk) to create a new one.
