My scroll wheel on my mouse quit working. Is there a setting where I can get it back?

You can either run "xsetup" again and choose IMPS2 mouse, or you can fix it manually.

Open an xterminal window and type:

beaver /home/dsl/.xserverrc

Then change your "-mouse" parameter to look like this:

/dev/psaux,5

The "/dev/psaux" may be different if your mouse is a USB or a SERIAL mouse. The important thing is the ",5" part.

Then save the file and do a Window manager -> exit command and then type "startx" at the text prompt to go back into the graphical environment.

I made changes to both /home/dsl/.xserverrc and /root/.xserverrc and still my scroll wheel doesn't work! (It works under Windows and Mepis.)
