Hey guys.
I'm a complete newb to this whole Linux thing.

I downloaded the following file

I burned it to a disk with nero and made it bootable....

My problem is that when i boot the computer with the cd in the drive all sorts of stuff starts coming up and the eventually i reach a point when a line shows showing

[DR-DOS] A://

I reach here and i havent a clue what to do.
I dont have a floppy in the drive
I'm not sure what my problem is at the moment
At the moment i have Windows XP installed on the computer

I'd appreciate any help you could give

I think it sounds like you've probably burnt it the wrong way.  The file is an image file, you need to "burn image" (or similar) rather than making a data disk with the file on it, which it sounds like you've done when you say you made it bootable.  I think nero's made a bootable DOS disk with the iso on it as a file.
I'm probably using an earlier version of nero than you, but most burning software has a "burn image" feature tucked away somewhere (may not be in the wizard, just cancel the wizard and it's probably under "file/...").  It may look for a certain image type (Nero looks for ".nrg" files), just change the dropdown to "all file types" and look for your "current.iso" file.  The default burn settings should probably be right, but I always burn at the lowest speed just to make sure any older machines I encounter can read it.

Hope that helps.

RS is correct.

If using Nero, you need to choose menu option:

File -> Burn Image (Nero 5.x)

or

Recorder -> Burn Image (Nero 6.x)
