Could someone just confirm my understanding of this:

I have installed DSL from my v1.21 livecd to a Compact Flash card on my ide port using the frugal install method and now DSL boots from this.

So, no matter what I install, .uci, .dsl, .tar.gz, nothing will permanently compromise (overwrite/update/etc) my base system (original install) as all changes made will be lost when i reboot.

Excluding of course anything I change or setup in mydsl= , home= etc

Is that right?

regards b1m1

I really enjoy frugal. As someone who is fairly new to linux it keeps me from having to reinstall everytime I make a mistake and I really enjoy the flexibility it gives me.
