Howdy Hi,

I'm thinkin about switching my laptop over to DSL Linux, I currently am running Fedora Core 3 on my home pc. Now when I was reading through DSL's main points I noticed that it runs within windows and was wondering if someone could clarify this for me?

Thanks,
Zeke

Oh, another question, what GUI interface does DSL linux use

Get the dsl-embedded-X.X.X.zip for running DSL inside a host OS, either Windows or Linux.

DSL uses Fluxbox 0.1.14 (latest stable) as its window manager.

DSL embedded uses the QEMU virtual PC program.

It works similar to VMWare or VirtualPC.

The program creates a emulated IBM compatible personal computer that is running inside a software program.  It is then possible to boot up this virtual PC using the DSL operating system.

So in this case, you will be running MSWindows as your "real" or "host" operating system (aka OS) and DSL linux as your virtual PC or "guest" operating system.

So a window will appear with the DSL os runnning inside.

You can go to full screen mode by pressing CTRL-ALT-F

and can go back into windowed mode by pressing CTRL-ALT-F keys again.
