Hi,
I've spent the past 3 hours trying to figure out 2 simple tasks in DSL.

I currently have DSL installed on my 512MB pen drive and it works fine except for the 2 issues below...

1).
How do I save something (a text file that I create using vim) to say my existing pen drive or else to the A drive. I've tried all sorts of mount commands and no luck.

2).
How do I make configuration changes to the 'look and feel' of my desktop and also save it. Say I want to change my desktop to the 'lawn' profile, using Desktop, Configuration, Lawn.

Each time, I reboot it goes back to it's original settings?

Any advice is much appreciated.

Ron OC..

1.)  Open Emelfm as Super User from the Main Fluxbox menu.  Copy your files to/from the /cdrom mountpoint

2.) Activate the backup/restore process from the menu.  The backup device should either be "sda1" or "cdrom"  I forget which.  My guess is try "sda1" first.
