Hi,

Very new to Linux, was given an ancient laptop by my aunt and have followed the instructions to install it on my HD.  Its working a treat and I have just begun fooling around with it.

I installed from my CRdom, but now I have some music, photos and movie files on a CD I want to view.  I click on CDrom but they do not show up.  Do I need to mount something?

Is there any recommended documentation for using DSL?  I want to use it to write emails and do some spreadsheet work.

Many thanks,
Haggis

Hi!

By the right border of the screen you have the option to mount devices (such as floppy, hd partitions, cd-roms...). Choose the device you want to mount with the left/right buttons and click on the button beside them (like a lying 'T') to mount it.

Sincerelly,
Robert
