I was wondering if anyone has tried that before useing DSL. If so please post a how to. If no one has can some one explain what hardware and stuff you would need to hook it up...

I guess there's a few things you could do. If you just want to speed up compiling you could use < distcc >. I imagine this wouldn't be too hard to get running on DSL since it doesn't require any kernel patches or any special configuration. However if you want general clustering you'll need something like < openMosix >. This will require a kernel patch + recompile on all computers in the cluster. Also all computers in the cluster need to be running the same kernel version (although the configuration of the kernel can vary). Remastering DSL with openMosix is likely to be quite a lot of work.

The only livecd with clustering support that i'm aware of is < dynebolic >, but this certainly shows it is possible.

... And Quantian, which is based on OpenMosix.
