I want to run DSL from within Windows on a thumb drive. Now, I got this file <dsl-0.9.3.iso> on a DVD with a magazine. Will this do or will I need to make some additional downloads?

I'm sorry, I must sound really stupid, but I've never had much to do with Linux except Knoppix before.

How does one install to a USB drive? On the downloads page there are so many links that I'm totally confused  :p I know there is a thread that has a step-by-step, but the links in it aren't working.

janpd24!

You will need dsl-embedded to run from within windows. Just download the last version (1.0.1) in windows. Format your usb-drive with fat32. Unzip dsl-embedded directly to your usb-drive and that's it. Read the "readme" file that comes with dsl-embedded and now should be on your usb-drive about getting started.

Have fun,
meo
