I have 15 Pentium 100 or 133 with 1GB or 2GB HD and 32 MB Memory. Can I install DSL and Open Office.

DSL, yes.

But you will need a swap partition. 128mb should be plenty.

OOo might run, but it would be sloooooooooow.

If you don't NEED Open Office there are some fine word processors and spreadsheets for your use, already included in DSL. They would probably run just fine on that machine.

TQ very much............. I'll start installing. BTW, knoppix, gnoppix and so on , can they be installed to those machines.

knoppix will work with a swap file and with desktop set to fluxbox instead of KDE.

I don't know about gnoppix but since GNOME won't be usable it is probably not worth trying.

I've decided to try on knoppix. It took me more than 5 hours to up the knoppix Live. (I'd made the swap file ). Is there any way to install without KDE and set to fluxbox. I'm getting tired. Thanks for the help. :angry:

Then, after installation:

sudo apt-get remove kde
