i've just downloaded dsl-1.0rc1-syslinux.iso burned it onto a cd
works perfectly except for one thing i've had this problem with other versions of linux before, i can't mount an old 430MB hard drive and when i'm starting dsl i type dsl tohd=/dev/hda1 and it says hard disk unmountable, is the hard drive too old or what ?

I am using a 228 mb hard drive with my dsl. You might want to go into root terminal and cfdisk /dev/sda. Select linux for type. After process do mkfs /dev/sda or sda1. That should allow you to copy to hd. also seems to depend on whether your hd is the 1rst hd on computer. /master   also in cfdisk make sure you make partition bootable,i.e. set bootable flag. Hope this helps.  Marty
