Is there a way to change the date/time on the task bar.
I have a probem with the cmos on my laptop & there is no way around it, not a problem really, but its slightly annoying when the time is always 3 years off.

Im sure there has to be a way to do it, I just cant find it anywhere.

Use date for the system clock, and hwclock for the hardware clock.  Both need to be done as root.

I tried to do it through linuxconf or by setting manually symbolic link to my timezone - no luck, after reboot it return to US/Eastern again,
what is the right way?
