I am using dsl on a few computers, but i found that on my 1 computer (its an athlon 2500+ with 512 meg of ram and an nforce 2 chipset) that it gives me an insmod error with the apm.0 module. Can someone help me?

If you are using a live CD, try using "dsl noapm" when you see the "boot:" prompt.

If you are running a harddrive install with a bootloader, that option should be added to your kernel line in the bootloader's configuration.
