In Linux, mount your cdrom, and do this:
dd if=boot.img of=/dev/fd0

There is no boot.img on the cd
tried mounting the iso image, not there either (surprise!)

CD won't boot in either old machine or main machine

Was is den loss?

Thanks! :(

You need to download the boot image file from the DSL web site.

It is located here:

< ftp://ibiblio.org/pub....8.0.img >

How do you make o boot floppy in windows? I've got rawrite2 but when i enter the "source file name" and press enter it does nothing? Any suggestions?

Yes, download rawrite32.

It is much easier to use than rawrite2 for Windows users.

You may need to change the file type in the File Open search window to *.img or *.*

I've downloaded the boot image file and created a boot floppy
but when I try to boot from it I get "boot failed".
Is the image corrupted ?
???

If it's not there yet, this question needs to go into the documentation project and/or teach DSLinfo how to create a boot floppy.  :;):
