For school I have to made essay. This essay has to be hand in digital. It then goes in a digital portfolio.

what I want is: A 8 cm cd with DSL and instead of de standard desktop icons I want icons for my essay. my essay is also on this cd

Is this possible.

The simplest way would be to have a backup files modifying things such as .xinitrc and .xtdesktop.  However, depending on the size of the backups and the essay, it's quite possible that you won't be able to fit everything within the disk.
In this case you might be able to use a floppy for the backups, but this means needing a CD and a floppy.

Another option is to remaster the CD, removing enough from DSL to provide room for your essay (maybe take out a program or two which has nothing to do with your essay).

Still another option is using a larger disk, which removes the need for a remaster.

On the cd is 210 mb space. since dsl only needs 50 mb there is space enough on the cd

oh cool, I was thinking of a business card CD =o)

So, yes....simplest way would be create a new CD with your personal files on it.

This concerns myDSL extensions, but the concept is the same for backup archives.
