Having a problem saving my configuration when using the USB version (0.9.0) . After downloading/installing vis MyDSL, I'm able to add the the desktop icon (.png & .lnk)  for LinNeighborhood to the Filetool.lst file and restore them at next boot but, I can't seem to restore the actual application. It's probably me not entering the right path but, has anyone done this and point me in the right  direction?

By default the MyDSL desktop icon, mydslgui.pl, downloads the extensions to the tmp directory and then loads them. This directory is in the ram disk, so upon reboot the extension is gone. If you find an extension that works for you and want to "keep" it, then, in your case, a pendrive, just copy the extension to /cdrom. /cdrom is the mount point of the pendrive and is writeable. Then upon reboot it will load the extension automatically. You can also make an optional directory on the /cdrom and it will not autoload but will be available by menu selection.

Hi reberts,

I use USB boot.
Can I remove the default icon from the desktop and save the layout?

I try to remove the files in .xtdesktop, and backup to pendrive. But after rebooting, the default icons appear again.
