I have been mining the forum for the last couple of days to save info that I might need later. One thing I started to notice is that some threads such as cbagger's deb2dsl topic are no longer visible in the board. The only way to locate it is if you happen to search the forum for 'deb2dsl'. While we are trying to capture alot of info in SU's FAQ thread there might be some things you want to keep for yourself for safekeeping. I have been doing it in two different ways. DSL - Bring up the thread in Firefox, click the 'print topic' link and then save the page as a .txt file. Then you can click the 'Create PDF' button in emelfm to convert the text file. Windows - D/L PDFCreator and the patch file from < HERE > and install. PDFCreator will show as another printer on your machine. When you choose to print the topic, choose PDFCREATOR as the printer and you will have a PDF file of the topic. Nice idea for keeping hardcopies of topics without having to print everything. In the control panel in these forums, under personal info is a feature called "Your Note Pad." This seems to me to be the best place to store the information you want to keep handy. Also, if you want to browse through topics earlier on the forum, you can change the number of days you are viewing at the bottom of the topic listing (the default is 30 days).
