I am looking for a replacement for wmbutton (starting up app's with one mouseclick on a picture from the slit)I tried minidock but i can't compile it. wmdrawer seems to work in debian but i miss a lot off stuff (pic's, .wmdrawerrc, etc..) to make it work. Anybody know any good replacements (or just good tips?) All this could be avoided if i could install the latest fluxbox (has icons in the menu!) but i am not that smart ![]() Posted by clivesay on Nov. 22 2004,14:36

Did you got it as a tar.gz or as a deb? (i assume you had to compile it)

I have been using the wmdrawer successfully..It seems to run a whole slew of apps with no issues.. I replaced the "drawer" icon with a homebrew "Damn Small Linux" text icon. I have a better screenie at home, with many more icons loaded, like xine, mplayer, and the Openoffice suite.. Maybe when I get home tonite.. I'll be happy to send you my .wmdrawerrc to help with setting up the stock DSL items, if necessary.. I have this working as a .dsl, with a preset wmdrawerrc. I will upload soon.. Nice screenie, clivesay.. ![]() You should post it up in the SCREENSHOTS thread, so others can find it.. Patrick: Using the fluxbox-0.9.9.tar.gz from the repository is very easy. Once you've "mydsl-load"ed it , exit X , then type "start_fluxdev" to begin using the development version. exit again, and use "startx" to return you to the stable version. Perhaps you were refering to an even later version... ![]() 73 ke4nt Posted by clivesay on Nov. 22 2004,18:51
ke4nt -I really like the wmdrawer. I can't wait to ty it! Chris Posted by Patrick on Nov. 22 2004,19:03
Gimme gimme gimme! Beautifulll... (ps: i was indeed refurring to fluxbox 0.9.10 (with icons in the menu!). I use flux 0.9.9 now (without icons on the desktop because i use chbg to change the background every minute with a picture from my archive, that way i get to see old pictures from the photoalbum) Nice desktop! Another shot..Here is the wmdrawer as I have it now.. ![]() When retracted, it leaves the desktop very open.. ![]() 73 ke4nt Posted by SaidinUnleashed on Nov. 23 2004,07:04
