Use the 0.8.0 boot floppy

the 0.8.x only changes minor scripting and doesnt affect the kernel or initrd load from the 0.8.0 floppy

We are discussing making boot floppies here ..
There are no " .iso's "  involved ..

Perhaps you are meaning the boot.img's in the current area of the repository ..

One is the boot-0.8.0.img - this is the boot floppy image to use
to run DSL from CD or poorman's installs ..
One is the bootusb-0.8.img - this is for running DSL from a USB device,
like a pendrive or a usb storage device ..

You can find them both here ..

How can i make my own boot floppy?

I need the cardbus drivers, including ide on cardbus either in the kernel or the mini boot image.

I have copied the main image to a compact flash plugged into a cardbus slot.  Now if I could just get the right boot floppy ...

It appears the floppy was created with syslinux, and therefore dos readable.  Also it seems to have ~600K free.  If I load the right Knoppix version (matching kernel) I should be able to recompile it with the cardbus support included.  ... but ... where do I find the file that describes the options this kernel was compiled with, so I can use that as a starting point?
