i downloaded opera.uci copied to c:\ (i use *.uci as it cheaper on memory)then before i rebooted i used emelfms myDSL button to test it so opera makes its settings dir. i added /home/dsl/.opera to to filetool.lst. then exit from opera and started opera again. now opera gives warnings "can not write to.." i know what went wrong: firsttime i test i was user root so opera create ~/.opera for user root secondtime i test i was user dsl, then opera cant write to ~/.opera. so i delete ~/.opera start opera as user dsl change prefs (proxy, homepage) reboot dsl start opera. no problems my settings where save ok. maybe you have the same problem, check owner/permissions on al files in ~/.opere Posted by Patrick on Sep. 22 2004,13:22
