Well i did the HD install with my old DSL disk on my pos comp a while back, and i got a new comp and laptop, so i dont want the comp anymore since im moving, but im not sure how to format it? I tryed fdisk but i couldnt seem to get that to work for me..
Im used to formatting under wind0wz :(
can someone please tell me or point me to instructions on formatting the entire HD? I want all partitions (should only be one) and everything off so i can sell it without an OS on it.

Formatting isn't REALLY the answer...

Search the forums for cbagger01's
file_of_zeros.bin for a good way to wipe the drive clean.

You also may want to search for "deriks boot and nuke".
Its a boot floppy that can be used to wipe the drive several times over, for those "for your eyes only" files. After a good wipe with the more agressive settings you couldnt get the data back with an electron microscope and the budget of NASA.

I was never here,
you can't prove anything

I have two versions of that on my webserver that I put together at
< http://awphuch.no-ip.com:1079/dban/auto.build/ >

read the README.txt in there and those floppies will wipe the drive clean...just use the rawritewin to make the floppy image...insert in computer....turn on and walk away...needs absolutely no human interaction to wipe "all" drives in the puter....be careful with these floppies
