ok when you download thunderbird have firefox save it to your home directory (it should do that automaticly).

Open EmelFM (the file manager cant recall the name)

Navigate to your home directory (from a default boot /RAMDISK/home/damnsmall) and look for the tar.gz file

If you find it and double click and enter it there should be a folder. if not try navigating up one level as you went to deep if there are a bunch of files. if not try and redownload the file or check where the files are being saved.

On the other side of EmelFM navigate to the home directory and select copy. Now thunderbird sould be uncompressed.

Navigate into the folder and double click on the 'thunderbird' thunderbird should come up. If not, try closing Firefox.

look at < http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtop....#146623 >
to explain why thunderbird will not appear when you have firefox running.

Hope this works for you.

Hmm ???, I know. What myDSL packages are loading on your boot. Are you using a stock DSL image with no extras in startup. Mabye one of my .dsl I load has that file. Let me try doing a blank boot and looking at it. Post what you load and i will emulate that on my computer. Take care.
