can DSL veiw Fat32 partitions, if so where do i go to veiw the files

Yes, you can view the partition once you have 'mounted it'.

To mount a drive if you know what you are doing you can use the mount and umount commands. But its easiest to use the 'mount' app in the 'slit' (the program bar bottom right in enhance mode). The second box up is the app and if you click on the arrows, you will scroll through your available mounts. Once you come across something like 'hda2' that will be a hard drive partition. The click on the button (youll find it) it should turn green and the drive is mounted.

Now you can go to the command line or use emelfm and look in the root directory for /mnt then go to the folder which is named the same as the drive oyu mounted. Then you should be able to view the files! :D
