Actually its rather easy:get your fav version of dsl. extract the dsl iso. copy the knopix folder from the dsl folder to your usb stick (lets call it E:) content of E: should be: E: . .. knopix --boot.cat --knoppix --boot.img get the newest version of flonix extract it copy all files execpt the folder "knoppix" to E: content of E: should be (something like): E: . .. boot.msg autorun.inf fond.jpg german.kbd index.htm ldlinux.sys licenceflonix.txt logo.16 miniroot.gz vmlinuz syslinux.cfg knopix (folder) --boot.cat --knoppix --boot.img download syslinux copy syslinux.exe to system32 get a cmd prompt type "syslinux e:" (only if your usb stick actually is drive E: offcourse) if you get any error messages just ignore them There you have it. Very simple once you understand what each part does: the knoppix folder is the actual OS the flonix files handles all the USB stuff since it has been built to boot from usb syslinux makes your usb stick bootable so what you are really doing is: replacing the os in flonix, copying it to your usb stick and making it bootable. Hope it helps |
