I'm planning to buy an iPod mini soon and i was thinking if it is possible to connect the iPod mini to a computer with USB or FireWire and run Damn Small Linux from it.
I have heard of people running DSL from an USB memory stick, then this has to be possible somehow.

ipod is not a x86 intel platform.
It think this distro was meant for that platform.
else it would be running on apple and other architecture machines..wouldn't it?
:(

If the iPod is a standard USB Mass Storage Device, then it is possible to make it boot from USB using a computer with a USB bootable BIOS, or with a boot disk.

Booting from Firewire is a less likely possibility.
