Please forgive me with this question, I'm a newbie

Is it possible to install Damnsmall to your hard drive, change everything you want (fonts, programs, display settings etc.) then put it back on bootable cd? I have Damnsmall installed on my hdd, I have it configured just the way I want it, now I wanna put it back onto a bootable cd but with my settings (then i can delete my hdd install). I have read all the other howto's on customising but they're all complicated (to me anyway ) and they don't explain howto do stuff like changing fonts etc.

Could someone please reply a.s.a.p

Hi ,

I can understand you're situation but...

The reason that i like DSL? it's EASY ! SIMPLE ! USABLE !

The reason that ik don't like GENTOO (www.gentoo.org) is that you NEED to do the hole stuff...
Modification, compile, make this...make that....do it again and recompile... :(

I have for this problem a simple solution... I write down everything i change. So i can refind my changings

And for a new computer i don't find my letters and i search again :) But's that's a problem that i will resolve with writing a how to.

Since DamnSmallLinux is based off of the KNOPPIX distribution, you should probably just look up how to customize KNOPPIX on google.
