I'm trying to run (and hopefully install) dsl on an old thinkpad 560, using a microsystems backpack parallel port cdrom.  Is there a boot floppy image out there that will recognize it?  Or if not, what can I do to get this thing running?

Thank you,
Becky

You don't need a backpack boot floppy.

Just do a "poormans install" using your old OS or worst case with a DOS boot floppy (and backpack DOS driver).

Then use the regular DSL boot floppy disk to start up DSL.

I have used a backpack from within Linux, but I have never tried to use it to boot up the system.
