Hi,

i followed the manual for building a mydsl.iso found in this forum here but it doesnt work and there are some question. So it seem to start at the beginning of my intend. I want to put vnc server, skype as well as some other nice htings to my usb-zip pendrive. the pendrive has sda1 and sda2.

step1: ok I put a cd with dsl 1.5 and boot from cd (mkmydsl doesnt not work without dsl cdrom)
step2: boot with "dsl 2 toram"  (with linux24 2 toram the usb-zip install runs through but then it can't find the kernel when booting from the new usb-zip install, I don't know why)
step3: I download/copied the required mydsl apps to  /ramdisk/home/dsl/tmp/mydsl/optional
step4: "mkmydsl" with the 2 paths "/ramdisk/home/dsl/tmp/mydsl" (i have only fat32 hdb1 and with fat32 mkmydsl does not work) the target path for mydsl-iso is "/mnt/hdb1/" (of course I mounted hdb1 before)
step5: now starts running and the there comes a question for optional boot ....: what I have to put in there or for what is it ( so I leave it empty)
step6: Now the system tells me, that the new iso is done with 63 MB (seems the mydsl apps are included
step6: I did the pendrive_usbzip.sh for bringing the mydsl.iso to my stick

ok, everything is fine, BUT where are my mydsl apps? No vnc server no skype ... .
Questions:
Do I use the right way?
At sda1 what I have to put to the syslinux mydsl=sda1 (mydsl=sda2 is default)?

You see, I could need some help ;-)

Ok resolved by myself. The solution was to simple ;-) Put all mydsl to sda2 and set sysconfig to mydsl=sda2 thats it.
