I havent been able to find a driver for this printer however, I suspect that one must exsist as when I recently loaded Ubuntu on my win machine it installed some sort of driver because my printer was working. I really like DSL and want to try to get my printer working any help is greatly appreciated.

Without having the printer it is hard to really help.
But I might suggest to see if the printer has compatibiliy mode.
That is, can it emulate a standard HP ink jet printer? Or possible standard HP Laserjet? You can go though the apsfilter setup and see if some of the standard drivers will give the basic printing, maybe more. At least try it up to the print test page.

According to this site, it appears that you are hosed when it comes to PCL support:

However, you could try to give one of the hpijs drivers a try in apsfilter even though the officejet 4200 series is not listed.

Otherwise, you can try to install the cups mydsl extension from the "System" area of the mydsl repository and use a newer version of hpijs or even hplip drivers with this printing system.
