have a canon iP1600 and i cant find the driver for it on printer set up. it has a lot of canon drivers, but not the iP1600.

ok, so cups isnt the driver. how do i use it?

Install CUPS, start CUPS from the MyDSL menu.

Open a terminal window.

Type:

sudo su

to become "root"

Type:

passwd

to set a password for the "root" account.

Start up firefox and visit this address:

< http://localhost:631 >

Use the "root" account and password to log in.
