Just convinced the office to use DSL on one of their older 'puters.

The boss just purchased an all-in-one HP OfficeJet J5780.

Can I get that printer to work with DSL3.3. If yes, what files would I need?.

Maybe the first place to start would be < here > to check if your printer is supported by hplip.

If the printer is not supported, then you can try the cups extension, if it is supported you can try either the cups or the hplip extension. Note that with cups (assuming the ppd exists) you will only be able to print, with hplip you may be able to print, fax and scan.

- if you mean hplip-1.7.2, the hplip extension in the testing section of the mydsl repository is hplip-2.7.6 - it'll save you having to compile hplip-1.7.2
