This has been answered before but I don't remember the solution.Try searching the forums for kewords "printer AND restore", search ALL FORUMS and search FROM THE BEGINNING or NEWER. Posted by roberts on Nov. 17 2004,19:05
Add these three to your filetool.lstMy printer's name is the default lp so the last entry will vary to whatever you named your printer. opt/printcap opt/apsfilter/ var/spool/lpd/lp/ Posted by Multitudes on Nov. 17 2004,20:27
cbagger01:I have tried searching high and low. I know all about this boards search engine facilities. I could'nt find an answer so I bothered everyone with my question. But thanks for your reply. roberts: I also chose the default lp as the name for my printer. I tried to backup various dirs but I was doubtful about the /var/spool. I'll just test this: .......................... booting ... configuring printer ... printing ... rebooting ... and printing! Many thanks! |
