I've gotten Samba to show the shares in my WinXP machine. I can listen to my mp3 files and view pictures and documents, I haven't found the way to use the printer that's hooked up to the XP machine. Can someone give me hand with this or point me in the right direction? All responses appreciated. Thank you.

By the way, I'm new to this forum and to DSL. Hello to everyone.

If you ever find out, let me know too!  EPSON Stylus Photo 825 which should work according to forums.

If you have shared your printer, you can actually connect to it through smbclient just as you would any other share. But how does one pipe that connection to a print driver?

I setup my windows shared printer (WinXp Pro SP2) with my HP AIO printer that was attached to my wife's PC (windows PC identified earlier) via the printer setup software within DSL.  I got the printer up and running.  sounds like you did everything correctly.  Try a different driver for your printer since that seems to be a real problem for some of these types of connection.
