on trying to install HP 510/520 I got the message that support is not compiled in the kernel. These inkjets are supported in all the other distro's making it very hard to beleive that they are not in DSL 1.5
Has anybody a clue why they should not be in DSL and other than recompiling get them working ?

In apsfilter look under driver option 4 gimp print. There is a driver listed for the 520. It's number '93' in the list. See if that works for you.
