Hello,
I am almost newbie to Linux.
After some difficulties, I have successfully installed DSL on my "old" computer:
Processor is AMD K6 200 MHz, RAM is 128 MB.
Connection to Internet is by Ethernet cable LAN.
Dillo and Firefox work well.
Now, I want to set up an FTP Server ( with username and password, anonymous not allowed) on this machine.
I need something easy to install and configure, and yet stable and secure.
What are the options?
ProFTPd has a good reputation, but will it run under DSL?
I need advice.
Cordially
K.

karol,
Not sure if you want to try this out, might be to much for what you need but XAMPP includes an FTP server, the problem is:  If you install the XAMPP package, it will also install APACHE, PHP, MYSQL, PERL, Etc...   So that might not be the way to go.   I would search the forum real good first before I googled it...   There are tons of FTP servers...
