I accidentaly deleted the dir location which automatically appeared when installing apps through mydsl and I can't seem to get any dir to work when installing. I think it was originally /temp but when I tried that it says to "mount optional media" or something along those lines. Could someone tell me what I need to type in the dir box to install programs ?

I'm trying to install aMSN if that makes any difference

Thanks

It was /tmp but you can save directly to any writeable media if you wish. The latest version of DSL-2.3 allows you to make a directory called /mydsl and save to that. I personally put aMSN in the / directory. You can also make a directory called /optional and save them there if you want to load them manually using the mydsl button in the dsl panel.

The visual way is to open EmelFM as superuser (right click) and select the mkdir button. then type the name of your directory in the field provided.
