I have dsl running on a old hp omnibook xe2 400mhz 256ram, it has no hd and the floppy and cdrom are if'y(sometimes work, sometimes not). I've managed to get dsl(2.1rc2) running in ram with a 512usb key as swap. I have installed gtk, gaim,ff 1.5.0.2,rox,mplayer+plugin,codecpak, and artwiz fonts.

The thing that's bothering me is i can't find no system tray for gaim to minimize(tray icon) too.

The other thing i'm wondering is when i launch gaim and firefox the window title bar say's " Unnamed " is there any way to change the title so it reads " Firefox " and " Gaim ".

These are the only two things i would like to do to complete my setup.
Thank you for any suggestions.

Hey all i solved that system tray thing by installing wmsystray.deb, so now gaim has a place to dock to and i no longer need to leave the whole window open.Yay

So i just need help for the windows that say " unnamed " for firefox and gaim. It's no big deal but hey if i can fix it why not. thanks

Hmmm, i guess my questions not so simple.

Does anyone else's window title say's unnamed or is it just mine?

I can't really help, but i don't want you to think no one's listening.

I have never used gtk2 apps in DSL, so i don't know if this is typical.  I do recall seeing possibly related issues with window names of gtk2 apps in other systems...there was something about improper font encodings causing the titlebar to display gibberish with gtk apps.  I know this probably doesn't help much....

Hey mikshaw, thanks for chiming in. The window title isn't weird it perfectly say's "Unnamed" were it should say firefox or gaim when using. But just to cover all the bases i did try changing the fonts, no luck.

I have exactly the same problem with the firefox window being called "Unnamed"

The imageshack photo above doesn't want to load :(

Could you let me know what the final fix was.

Thanks,

Hello,

You need to install C libraries libc6.dsl.
This will fix "unnamed" problem.

Good luck!  :)
