not good, DSL is not set up for compiling. it would be much easier for you to grab dsl.dpkg from the mydsl repo and a pptp deb, then try in terminal>sudo dpkg -i (name of package).debfor dsl.dpkg.dsl-> < http://damnsmalllinux.thegeekery.com/mydsl/system/ > pptp-linux_1.5.0-5_i386.deb-> < http://apt-devel.componentizedlinux.org/linux/pool/main/p/pptp-linux/ > Posted by mikshaw on July 18 2006,14:43
Depending on what dependencies the program has (uhhh...don't read that again, please), you may be able to compile it using gcc1.dsl or gcc1-with-libs.dsl.If it is a source package, it should include a file called README or INSTALL or something similar. This file should give you the info you need that is specific to the program. If you're looking for general information on compiling applications, you would be better off with a web search. In any case, what kerry suggested is much simpler. Posted by kerry on July 18 2006,20:48
i looked at the dependence's on my machine and it just list's 2(libc6 and ppp). I was wondering are you sure that's what you need to connect to the net? how do you use pptp( point to point tunneling protocol) to connect to the net?
