Is there a way to change the background on the vi editor? A solid color would be much easier to read than the current transparent. Thanks.

It's dependent on the terminal. Start it with "aterm +tr -e vi", or edit .Xdefaults to change aterm's default settings.

Thanks milkshaw, WAY better.........

I ended up changing the Aterm default of "transparent" to "false".
