Hopefully someone can help me here...

How can I remove and uninstall the default applications in DSL? Firefox doesn't run well on my old hardware and I want to remove it. I cant for the life of me see how to do this though.

Can someone help point me in the right direction please?

You will want to remaster DSL, which is essensially extracting the contents of the KNOPPIX file, adding/deleting stuff, and recreating the file.
