I need to make a fullscreen html page that continously display a self refreshing html page. It would look best if it wouldnt show any borders of firefox.. does anyone know a way to do this? A full screen html show?
Maybe with dillo? Or some other tool that is available for DSL?

(the html pages are on a internet server, not locally on the dsl machine)..

You can use f11, which is the default full-screen mode of most browsers now.

True, but I want it to start up fullscreen when I start firefox.. no user there to push F11 for me... I have looked all around, but all the options I found so far to start fullscreen didnt work.
I can hide pretty much everything at startup besides the menu bar.. I only seem to be able to hide that by pushing F11..

There are some "fullscreen" or "kiosk" mods that you may be interested in.

For all of Firefox's features, it's funny that some things many people would think are fundamental have been completely ignored.

Tiling window managers such as dwm, wmii, and ratpoison run applications fullscreen by default. This doesn't include hiding the menubar/statusbar in Firefox, but that can be accomplished with firefox preferences. I've been using dwm for a while and really like it. The most recent release added the ability to hide its statusbar, so now it can be 100% unseen...no borders, no buttons, nothing but the applications running on top of it.

Dillo is a little easier to start at the size of your desktop, but again there is a problem with making it immobile unless you are using a window manager that doesn't float windows.

Well, I have tried the Fullerscreen extension.. it can't register due to a chrome error.. So I searched on this error and found 2 options.. install as root or touch the chrome.manifest file. I tried both, but no luck.

I tried the autohide feature mentioned in the link here.. but this is for firefox 2.0.. I am running the firefox as it comes with the default DSL installation.

If you don't want to upgrade to GTK2, there's a GTK1 version of Firefox 2 (rebranded Bon Echo) in the UCI section of MyDSL.
