Hello,
I'm brand new to dsl.  I installed to hard drive yesterday.  I used uci to download & install firefox 2.0-gtk1.uci.  It was working fine.  I shut down the system last night.  I re-booted the machine this morning & firefox 2.0 was gone (even the icon was gone).  I've downloaded the program again.
My question is:  How do I prevent the application from going away upon re-boot?
Please bear in mind that I'm brand new to DSL, having come from windows.
Will someone please post a procedure?  Please don't assume that I know anything about command line work.
Thank You

UCIs and UNCs unmount when you shutdown. That means you'll either have to use mydsl-load each time or you can make a directory to copy the contents of the mydsl-loaded UCI, run mydsl-load again to unmount it, delete the old directory, and then rename your temp directory if you want a different name (such as its original).

BTW, you can open the mydsl browser and use it to load local. You didn't need to download firefox a second time. First time you click mounts (loads) the app, second time unmounts the app.
