I've tried to install a few things, and have run into a bunch of trouble with DSL.
I tried the Opera 6.12 install script, and that only partly worked, I was able to boot
Opera, but could not backup/restore, so I lost it all.
Still need to see how to install stuff.

But, if you want to see my page on a little Tcl/tk dial and hangup item, go here:

I would like to install that in DSL, but lets face it, on a live cd, that is not the
purpose of DSL, and if you do a hard drive install, and change too much, then
you have something other than DSL.  That's probably why so many diverse apps
are in DSL, to give something to everyone.

You can backup and restor Opera, assuming that your storage device is large enough to handle all of the files.

For the current Opera install script, you will need to add the following locations to your filetool.lst  backup configuration file.

/home/damnsmall/.opera
/home/damnsmall/bin
/home/damnsmall/lib
/home/damnsmall/share
/home/damnsmall/.start_opera
/home/damnsmall/.install_opera

Good Luck.
