I've got some more freeware games for tuxnes.  But how do I add them to the right directory? (I am a beginner so this will have to be spelled out clearly)

Thanks in advance..

wow.
if they are of free domain (and therefore can be played legally) would you mind share them with the dsl community?

Sure check this site out...

Still how do I add more games?  And what about joystick support? Can you use joysticks with tuxnes/DSL
also is it possible to use a MAME emulator with DSL?

I've tried MANY linux Distro's and I gotta say I think DSL is the easiest to install and use.  (and the fastest).

You can find freeware Nes roms (=games) here:

Download the rom, unzip it if needed, open up a term window and type:
tuxnes [the-rom]
Or, if you have an aversion to term windows you can use gtuxnes.

FYI,

Most of the NES games on the web site are packaged as filename.zip files, even though for some strange reason the download manager sometimes does not include the .zip extension.

So in order to make the game work, add the .zip to the end of the file name. Then use gunzip to unzip the file. Then use gtuxnes to run the game file.
