Thank you for an excellent distro ver 0.7.1.  one request, can anyone make a mydsl for :

gnucash , or any opensource accounting programs comparable to features like quickbooks/quickens.

Or, I can even settle for a spreadsheet based accounting/book keeping based on OpenOffice.   Having my feet tied to Quickbooks is the only reason I am still stuck with windoz.

Thanks

Has gnucash or any accounting programs ever been added?

Thanks!

Have you looked into SIAG?
Am using DSL3.0.1 and I find SIAG to be extremely versatile. Am new to Linux and am still learning.
Check out [www.siag.nu/siag] for documentation.

I think gnucash and cbb (checkbook balancer) are both to be found as dsl extensions under gtk2 in the MyDSL system. (You need gtk2 to run these, it can be found as both a dsl and a unc.)

I've used the dsl2unc.sh script to make cbb into a low ram unc extension and it works great.  I haven't messed with gnucash yet.

dsl2unc.sh is great.  My system is only 128 megs and the unc extensions make life a lot easier.
