There were a couple threads on this, but they didn't seem to help me... and they were for earlier versions of DSL. I've been trying to install my soundcard and need make. This is what I get:root@box:/home/Sound# apt-get install make Reading Package Lists... Done Building Dependency Tree... Done The following extra packages will be installed: fileutils The following NEW packages will be installed: fileutils make 0 upgraded, 2 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded. Need to get 0B/1097kB of archives. After unpacking 2773kB of additional disk space will be used. Do you want to continue? [Y/n] Y Selecting previously deselected package fileutils. And still there is no problem: < http://damnsmalllinux.org/cgi-bin....9;st=10 > Posted by ke4nt1 on Aug. 06 2004,05:45
Your posts are no irritations at all.. please ask..What soundcard are you working with? This is what you should see when you reach nirvana... 73 ke4nt Posted by S3tH on Aug. 06 2004,21:23
That worked like a charm, nirvana was found. Thanks so much. I wonder how I missed that thread... I thought I checked through all of them. I still can't get my sound card to configure right, but that is for a different part of the forums. Since you asked though: Its a Turtle Beach Santa Cruise. Part of the problem may be that it is the Dell version and I've heard that the one Dell distributed was different from the off the shelf kind. If I can't figure it out you may be seeing a new thread in the multimedia section.Seth |
