I have problems installing source files like abiword.tar.gz or gcc.tar.gz.
I unpacked them with the eme??? (the graphical file management tool in dsl).
Then I changed to /usr/src/abiword/abi/ and typed ./configure.

It seems the system searches in the abiword folder.
The system writes finally:

no cc
no c+
no gcc ...
... found.

Have I to set some variables or is tcc not usable for the installation of packages like abiword or gcc?

If possible I would like to use source files instead of .dsl files because I have a hd-install.

Try installing the new gcc dsl file in the testing area.

Thanks, good idea :) . I am going to try it out. I hope I can use linux afterwards.

Until now I am reading and trying and installing, deleting and nothing works.

I hope gcc will enable my system to get something installed from source.

I think this should be the right file, right?

gcc g++ make for DSL 0.8 -> gcc1.dsl
