Hi,

i am just begining using linux (debian distibution), since my computer was found in a trash (a pentium 166Mhz), because it makes me learn a lot, and also because i like the open-source project. So i was looking for very light web browser and i found dillo, but in the original version (the one i get with debian unstable distribution) there is no tabs for example. I see on damnsmalllinux web site that
"The Dillo browser in Damn Small has been enhanced, it supports SSL, tabs and frames! Paches by Andreas Kemnade and Frank de Lange."
So my question is : why those improvments are not redistributed to the dillo's project? Then everybody can enjoy the advance. Isn't sharing the base of free software?

thanks,
frat

P.S. i am not very used with forums, so i probably asked my question in the bad topic :/ Also, sorry for my bad english.

A google search by the names of Andreas Kemnade and Frank de Lange
reveal these sites....

Here is the sources for Frank's Patches.

This site gives info on many other patches,
and mentions dillo's reaction to including them in Dillo.base.

It seems that there are some security issues with using some
of these patches, and dillo chooses to not include them at this time..

KDrive is superceded by several sources, but here are a few links...
